Some Rohingyas afraid of sending Myanmar to India are waiting to enter the country through Kasba border from Brahmanbaria.
Major Md. Shafiq 25 BGB Battalion’s deputy commander told reporters that 31 Rohingya men and women and children were staying in border line along the Kaziyatoli border of Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria near 2029 pillar of Bangladesh-India border.
The decision will be taken regarding the flag meeting with the BSF. But the BGB is alerted so that the BSF can not enter Bangladesh, he said.
In the last one and half months, 1300 Rohingyas from India have been provided shelter in Cox’s Bazar. They were kept at the transit camp of UN refugee agency located near the camp of Kutupalong Refugees in Ukhia.
Gopinathpur Union Parishad chairman SM Mannan Jahangir of Kasba upazila said that from Friday night, 31 border Rohingyas are trying to enter Bangladesh from the barbed wire fence of Kasbaetali border, Indian Border Security Force – BSF
“Among the 31 Rohingyas, there are six women, eight men and 17 children. They are in the open space in the zero-lying areas of the two countries. ”
